Hope's Voice International and Pfizer, Inc. are proud to announce their formal partnership to bring the Does HIV Look Like Me? campaign to Thailand this May 2009.
Does HIV Look Like ME? Thailand will follow the successful model of previous campaigns with a multi-media video and print campaign featuring 30 campaign ambassadors; young people living with HIV or AIDS from Thailand. The campaign ambassadors are joining other ambassadors from around the world and standing up to fight for human rights and against misconception and inequality with their faces, voices and stories.
"Pfizer is very pleased to support the Does HIV Look Like Me? campaign. Combating HIV requires many different strategies, including educational programs, public health initiatives, developing and making accessible effective medications, and perhaps most importantly, removing the stigma of HIV-AIDS to enable people to receive the support they need to sustain their health, said Jack T. Watters Vice President of External Medical Affairs, Pfizer Inc. Does HIV Look Like Me is an innovative program aimed at this key need - its leadership and ambassadors have demonstrated remarkable energy and creativity in building this program, and Pfizer appreciates the opportunity to help expand this program to Thailand."
We are also excited to launch our new coordinating structures, including the In-Country Coordinator (ICC) and Campaign Coordinating Committee, in time for this campaign. Stay tuned for more soon - our new ICC for Thailand will be introducing himself and updating this site soon!
